Easy Eggless Cake at Home
Baking a cake at home wasn’t always easy for us. We’ve had cakes that didn’t rise, turned dry, or burned at the bottom—especially when baking without an oven. After lots of trial and error using cookers, microwaves, air fryers, and ovens, we figured out what actually works in a real home kitchen. This recipe is based on that experience, so even if you’re baking for the first time, you can follow it with confidence and enjoy a soft, homemade cake.
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk (or plant-based milk)
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
- A pinch of salt
- Mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.ll-purpose flour
- In another bowl, mix sugar, milk, oil, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Gently combine wet and dry ingredients. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
Cake Without Oven (Cooker Method)
Preheat a heavy cooker with salt for 10 minutes. Place the cake tin inside and cook on low flame for 35–40 minutes.
Cake in Microwave
Use a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high for 5–7 minutes.

Preheat the air fryer to 160°C and bake for 25–30 minutes.
